LIVE June Club Splanky - with Denise Dale and her Speakeasy Six!

A great night of live entertainment with Hullabaloo Ball favourite - Denise Dale and her Speakeasy Six and a performance from the Hullabaloo Hoppers! International teachers Kevin St. Laurent and Jo Hoffberg will also be joining us for the night so make them them fell welcome and grab them for a dance! This is your opportunity to dance with people from all over the Perth swing scene, on a huuuuge sprung wooden floor, dancing to great tunes from the swing era. Drinks on sale. Door prize every month!

Swing Blast!

Presented by Swing Zing: 4 - 6 June, 2010

The amazing Kevin St Laurent and Jo Hoffberg return to Australia for another Swing Blast! Kevin and Jo are an exciting and dynamic couple and part of the awesome Killer Diller performance team! Set aside this weekend for fun and instructive workshops and plenty of social dancing! This weekend will be a powerhouse weekend for swing!
 
Schedule & Location
The weekend will include eight hours of swingin' Lindy Hop classes with Kevin and Jo over Saturday and Sunday, and some cool social dancing at Splanky on Saturday night. Wrap up the weekend with a relaxing twilight party at Sophie's Studio on Sunday!
 
Sat 5th June Workshops: 12pm-5:30pm 4 x 1 hr classes with 1 hour lunch break. Mixed topics at an open level (basic knowledge of swing outs and Charleston required). Tivoli Theatre, 2 Kintail Rd Applecross.
Saturday Classes: Vintage Jazz, Routinelettes, Speed and Classic Stuff!
A day full of crazy Lindy Hop, with vintage aesthetic stylings, partnered jazz fun, some upbeat tempos, traditional moves and short choreographed routinelettes totally usable for the social floor.  As always, Kevin and Jo incorporate technique in all their classes. Come prepared to be inspired!
Saturday Night LIVE Club Splanky: Presented by the PSDS at Como Primary School with live band Densie Dale and the Speakeasy Six
 
Sunday 6th June Workshops: 12pm-5:30pm 4 x 1 hr classes with 1 hour lunch break. Mixed topics at an open level. Tivoli Theatre, 2 Kintail Rd Applecross.
Sunday Classes: Social Technique, Fancy Footwork, Tricks and Freestyling!
A cruisy day of social Lindy Hop, with an emphasis on style and quality technique. Make sure your shoes aren't too big 'cause the fancy footwork could be intricate and tricky. The tricks will be socially leadable and the burning question for the day..."Yeah, but can you lead it?"
Sunday Twilight Party: at Sophie's Studio, East Fremantle, 7-10pm.

Perth Swing Dance Society AGM

Presented by the Perth Swing Dance Society: Sunday 13 June, 2010


The AGM will provide a forum for:
1) reports of the Committee
2) consideration of the financial accounts
3) election of the 2010/2011 Committee members to replace outgoing committee 2009/20109 members
4) any other business requiring consideration by the members.
