Private Lessons

Individual lessons are great for:

• people you can't make it to regular classes or shift workers who can't do a 5 week beginners course
• learning the basics in a safe, non-intimidating environment before trying group classes
• tuning up your dancing and learning what makes partner dancing click
• learning specific moves, styling and technique that you want to learn
• getting together with a group of friends and trying something new

Chris and Spud are available for privates lessons on weekends for $80 per hour for up to 4 people.  Spud is also available weekdays for $50 per hour for a single or couple. If you would like to organise larger private group classes don't hesitate to contact us and we can organise a quote. We can also put you in contact with Cheryl or Casual teachers for private lessons (prices are subject to negotiation).

Wedding Dances

We love teaching people to Swing Dance for their Wedding.  We can show you how to look good, the way you want to.  Whether you want to dance slow or pick up the tempo we can show you how.  Due to Lindy Hop's semi organised structure, learning a routine isn't strictly required, we can show you how to partner dance and/or how to put chunks of choreography together to make it happen.  If you need music we can help you with that as well and if you want a Swing Dj to give your wedding that special flavour we can do that too. Swing Academy can also do an exciting Performance or teach a short class on your wedding day to get every one moving, grooving, and having fun. We would love to help to make your special day that little more special.
